Born and raised in the sweet tropical island of Trinidad and Tobago, nature, people and equality are always at my core. I am currently completing my MSc in Global Development and Environment at the University of Bristol where I am focusing my research on power structures associated with developmental and environmental challenges facing developing countries especially small island states.
I have a keen interest in empowering youth voices and shedding light on the many health concerns that affect underrepresented and underprivileged people across the world. Alongside my studies I have completed a climate impact internship at Sound View Media, where I worked on creating carbon footprints and achieving Albert certification.
I believe in the power of people, especially youth, to alleviate the many ills that we as a society face today. As such, during my studies, I have been involved with many societies and most recently the Black Students Network to foster a sense of community and provide a voice to black youth across campus through many educational and multicultural events and campaigns.
